Heute Morgen haben wir etwas neidisch nach China geschaut. Genau gesagt auf die Fenestration Bau der Messe München in Peking mit 575 Ausstellern und 90'000 BesucherInnen. Das sind Werte wie zu den besten Zeiten in Peking! Das zu einem Zeitpunkt, zu dem in den deutschsprachigen Ländern und in Europa nur noch Absagen von Messen vorliegen. Wie ist das in Peking möglich? Obligatorische Maskenpflicht und Contact Tracing sei Dank.
Asien: Wieder Messen im 2021
Der Branchenverband IFES führte eine internationale Umfrage zum Status-Quo und den Erwartungen der Messebranche. Sie kommt zu einem interessanten Vergleich: In Asien gehen 60% der befragten Unternehmen davon aus, dass Messen bereits im ersten Quartal 2021 wieder (!) stattfinden können, in Europa sind es 75 %, die diese Einschätzung ab dem zweiten Quartal teilen, während in den USA drei Viertel der Unternehmen mit einer Rückkehr von Messen erst im dritten Quartal 2021 rechnen. Vergleiche: In Asien war oder ist Maskentragen und Contact Tracing obligatorisch. Und die Wirtschaft findet wieder statt, anders als bei uns, wo sie jetzt gerade wieder ein zweites Mal abgewürgt wird.
Sterben, um die Freiheit zu erhalten?
Bei uns wird häufig mit der demokratischen Freiheit argumentiert, mit der Selbst-verantwortung, wenn es um globale Covid-Lösungen respektive Restriktionen für die ganze Bevölkerung geht. Aber ich pfeife auf die jetzt oft strapazierte persönliche Freiheit. Sie ist in Zusammenhang mit Covid-19 ein absurdes Recht. Bist Du eher bereit, zu sterben, um Deine Freiheit zu erhalten oder eine Maske zu tragen, um die Wirtschaft zu retten? Denn während dem Lockdown in Deutschland oder England, wo jetzt wieder die Wirtschaft verunmöglicht wird, läuft sie in China wieder. Gebt mir meine Maske! Gebt mir meine Kunden zurück!

The Fenestration Bau of Messe München has key figures as in the best of times. Trade fairs in China are running again as they used to. Thanks to compulsory means of protection! English below.

This morning we looked at China with a little envy. To be precise, we were envious of the Fenestration Bau of the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Beijing with 575 exhibitors and 90,000 visitors. These are values like in the best times in Beijing! This at a time when in the German-speaking countries and in Europe there are only cancellations of trade fairs. How is that possible in Beijing? Compulsory mask wearing and contact tracing, thank you very much.
Asia: Relaunch of trade fairs
The industry association IFES conducted an international survey on the status quo and expectations of the exhibition industry. It makes an interesting comparison: In Asia, 60% of the companies surveyed assume that trade fairs will be able to take place again as early as the first quarter of 2021, in Europe, 75% share this assessment from the second quarter onwards, while in the USA, three quarters of companies do not expect trade fairs to return until the third quarter of 2021. Compare: In Asia, mask wearing and contact tracing was or is mandatory. And the economy is taking place again, unlike here, where it is just now being stalled a second time.
Dying to preserve freedom?
We in the west often argue with democratic freedom, with self-responsibility, when it comes to global Covid-19 solutions or restrictions for the whole population. But I don't give a damn about personal freedom, which is now often strained. In connection with Covid-19 it is an absurd right. Are you more willing to die to preserve your freedom or to wear a mask to save the economy? Because during the lockdown in Germany or England, where now the economy is again made to halt, it is running again in China. Give me my mask! Give me back my customers!
