Over many years, GITEX Global in Dubai has developed into the world's leading ICT trade fair, boasting over 6,800 exhibitors and 1,200 investors. The Swiss ICT industry made a strong showing at GITEX Global from October 13-17, 2025 , and not for the first time. The inaugural GITEX Europe in Berlin in June 2025, with 1,400 exhibitors and 600 investors, was also a success.

GITEX Global, held from October 13-17 in Dubai, saw a record attendance of 6,800 technology companies, 2,000 startups, 1,200 investors, and technology industry representatives from 180 countries. It showcased groundbreaking technologies in AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, data processing, semiconductors, and physical AI. New global alliances and memoranda of understanding laid the foundation for next-generation innovations.

Under the international brand SwissTech, the Swiss ICT sector presented itself impressively to the trade fair audience. The Swiss stand, designed in striking neon yellow and black, attracted considerable attention and conveyed a modern, innovative image of Swiss technological expertise.

The highlights presented included, among others:

ID Quantique – Market leader in quantum data encryption

Modulos – a leader in Big Data Analytics

Comitas – first-class software development from Switzerland

· GreenState – AI driven vertical farming

Alongside established companies, promising Swiss start-ups also had a platform. Selected showcases from education, research, and innovation, such as ETH Zurich with its interactive avatars from the team of Prof. Markus Gross at the Institute of Computer Graphics Laboratory and the team from the Game Technology Center, lent additional appeal.

“The development of GITEX is truly a phenomenon, also from the perspective of modern trade fair development,” says Carl A. Ziegler, CEO of T-Link and organizer of the Swiss Pavilion.

Development of GITEX Global

GITEX Global in Dubai has been established at the Dubai World Trade Centre for years – and is bursting at the seams. Three years ago, the start-up area "North Star" was relocated to Dubai Harbour. Therefore, starting in 2026, GITEX Global will move to the new Dubai Expo exhibition center, located in the immediate vicinity of the new Dubai World Airport.

In parallel, the organizers are increasingly exporting their successful model to other countries: In addition to locations such as Morocco, Kenya, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam, the first GITEX Europe took place in Berlin in June 2025 (pictured above) with great success, attracting 1,400 exhibitors and 600 investors. The first GITEX in Singapore will follow in April 2026.

Significance for Switzerland

The new locations in Berlin and Singapore are highly relevant for the Swiss ICT industry. Accordingly, T-LINK, together with the Swiss Digital Security Alliance, will present a joint Swiss stand at both GITEX trade fairs in Europe and Asia, in addition to its presence in Dubai.
