The International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services (IFES) has announced that its 2026 World Summit will convene in Dubai from 16-19 June 2026, positioning the global exhibition community in the centre of one of the world’s flourishing trade hubs. Under the theme “Beyond Boundaries”, the Summit will explore how the industry can strengthen multi-national collaboration and unlock new opportunities through innovation.

Following the strong momentum of the 2025 Summit in Guadalajara, IFES now turns to the Gulf region which holds a market increasingly recognised as a global powerhouse for exhibitions and live events. Hosting this years Summit in Dubai reflects a clear strategic direction; members will be within a thriving international marketplace, strengthening IFES’ presence in a region marked by ambition and rapid development.

For IFES President Jörg Zeissig, Dubai embodies the Summit’s aims: “Dubai represents everything we want to capture in our ‘Beyond Boundaries’ theme. It is a meeting point for the world, where ideas, cultures and industries connect. After the energising experience in Guadalajara, we now look ahead to Dubai 2026 as a moment to move beyond familiar frameworks and shape the future of our industry together.”

IFES Executive Director Gregor Bischkopf emphasises that the theme, “Beyond Boundaries” is intended to be both conceptual and operational: “‘Beyond Boundaries’ is not just a slogan. It is a call to think differently, to explore new ideas and to push past the limits of what we’ve done before — in our businesses, our designs, our partnerships and across our industry. Dubai, as a crossroads between East and West, provides the ideal stage for these conversations.” The Summit will be open to both members and non-members alike, further reinforcing IFES’ commitment to wider industry.
Delegates can expect a three day programme from 16-19 June 2026, combining high-level content with structured networking opportunities. The agenda will address developments which shape the exhibition and events sector, including technological innovation in exhibitions, sustainable event strategies, new approaches in design and experiential engagement, as well as evolving client expectations.
Interactive workshops, keynote presentations and moderated panel discussions will form the foundation of the programme, while formats for networking will create the opportunity for dialogue which can lead to collaboration and long-term partnership building.

The Summit will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the region’s largest event venue which hosts more than 500 events annually. Dubai’s international accessibility coupled with incredibly advanced infrastructure provide perfect conditions for a global industry gathering. With the iconic Burj Khalifa symbolising the city’s ambition and global outlook, the setting reflects the forward-looking vision embedded in the Summit’s theme.
Whether attending for the first time or returning as a long standing participant, delegates can expect a great foundation for gaining connection and exchange of knowledge. Early Bird pricing is available until 14 February, and IFES members aged 35 and under will benefit from a 50% discount for this special event. Further information and pre-registration details are available via IFES.
