Geneva, June 4, 2025 – EPHJ, the world's leading high-precision trade fair, and Easyfairs, Europe's leading trade fair organizer, are jointly embarking on a new chapter – with a focus on continuity. The founders of EPHJ, who wish to reduce their professional activities, have decided, together with their partners, to manage the succession of this important event. The aim was to find a new owner who would ensure the continuity of the trade fair while preserving its original spirit. After careful consideration of various options, the choice fell on Easyfairs, an experienced group of companies in the trade fair industry, which is now the new owner of EPHJ.

“It is an honor for us to take the baton for such an iconic event. The whole world admires the exceptional expertise of the Swiss watch and high-precision industry – and EPHJ is the perfect showcase for it. EPHJ’s specialization and consistently high quality make it the ideal addition to our industrial production trade fair portfolio, which now comprises 30 events in strategically important industrial centers. Our goal is to build upon the foundation laid by the founders, respecting the fair’s identity while simultaneously opening up new opportunities for its international development. EPHJ will continue to be a trade fair by professionals for professionals – at the heart of innovation and excellence in high-precision watchmaking, jewelry, microtechnology, and medical technology,” says Roland Brand (pictured above), CEO of Easyfairs for the DACH-Italy region.

EPHJ, Switzerland's largest trade fair and a global leader in high-precision technology, opened its doors yesterday in Geneva. The annual fair brings together around 800 exhibitors and over 23,000 visitors.

“After 22 years of passionate dedication, we felt it was time to pass the baton. This well-considered decision is part of a natural succession process, linked to our personal career paths, while simultaneously aiming to secure a solid future for EPHJ. We are proud of what we have achieved and have complete confidence in our successor,” explained the two founders of the trade fair, André Colard and Olivier Saenger, jointly. “We built this trade fair together with the exhibitors, always in line with their needs and in their best interests. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts and are convinced that Easyfairs will carry on these values – they have already proven their expertise in successfully continuing such events many times over!”

With the arrival of the new shareholder Easyfairs, a new phase of development begins for EPHJ. The change of ownership comes with a clear commitment: the fair will preserve its spirit, its hospitality, its DNA, its location in Geneva, its industrial focus, and its mission to promote innovation in the watchmaking, jewelry, microtechnology, and medical technology industries.

The existing team, led by Alexandre Catton, will continue to organize the trade fair to ensure both its continuity and dynamism. The founding values and strong relationships within the Swiss and international ecosystem will also remain intact. This development opens up new opportunities while simultaneously strengthening the proven foundations that have contributed to the fair's success to date.

With this smooth transition, EPHJ reaffirms its commitment to continuing to bring Swiss and international industrial players together around a unique trade fair – a fair that remains true to its roots while looking firmly to the future.
